‘Aontaithe’
Exhibition
Aontaithe (United) is an annual campaign run by Union Students Ireland (USI) to highlight the hidden costs incurred by students in creative arts courses. To achieve that, USI organizes a series of exhibitions and invites students to submit their work for presentation at these exhibitions. I took part in this exhibition in 2023 and 2025 and exhibited work at Treaty City brewery in Limerick, Pallas Studios in Dublin, The Venue DCU in Dublin and The Crawford Gallery in Cork.
2025 Submission
This work reimagines and transforms everyday waste materials, creating a space where the past lives of objects meet speculative futures.
As an art student, the cost of materials can be a constant challenge, but rather than seeing this as a barrier, I embraced the potential of repurposed and found materials. Working with what is available rather than what is new, the piece questions traditional notions of value and artistic production while highlighting the creative possibilities that resourcefulness can bring to practice.

2023 Submission
As young artists we are often eager to perfect and refine a style, in order to maintain a personal essence throughout all our work. But perhaps being a student is all about not knowing. The fact that we are unsure of the direction our work will go in or what our future holds is perhaps the
feeling that encourages curiosity and creativity. With no plan, no boundaries and no restrictions, we, as developing artists, can give ourselves space and time to grow and explore beyond what we ever thought we could. ‘Line of Action’ seeks to represent this and to inspire other students to value the processes of discovery and learning through doing.
